Q : Will they fit my older JD 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 55 / 60 series tractor ?
A: Yes, they fit the existing housing on those tractors and many more using the 4.5" round PAR-36 style light. We normally use HI-Lo and Trapezoid beam in the front fenders, and flood beam on the rear.
Q: Will the fit older IH tractors 56 / 88 series tractors?
A: Yes, they fit those models. We normally use Spot beam in the front grill and Trapezoid beam on the lower cab lights. If you have an HI-LO bulb in the grill, then use an HI-LO LED bulb. Most the time we use Flood beam for the rear lights. If the tractor has a resistor based Hi-Lo light (lowering the voltage to the headlights on low beam) then the low beam might not work correctly.
Q: How do they connect?
A: The LED lights connect to the harness using spade terminals, there are 2 or 3 male spades on the rear of the light, and the female connectors are included, please just crimp them on the wires and connect to the light. Note that LED lights are polarity sensitive, so make sure you have ground on the - symbol and positive on the + symbol.
Q: What is the difference between Trap and Flood?
A: The Flood beam is a 60 degree light pattern, it goes up and down, right and left - like a circle pattern, and we mostly use them as rear facing work lights. The Trap (Trapezoid) has a more controlled light pattern, it spreads almost as wide as the flood, but the light does not go up and down, only sideways. Example: if you were aiming the trapezoid light at a wall a few feet away, you would see a horizontal tight line of light. So the Trap lights need some distance to spread out to be usable, this is why we use them as front facing lights mostly, but also no some larger tractors / 4wd's.
Q: Will they interfere with my radio?
A: No, tested and proven interference free.
Q: How long is the warranty?
A: There is a 3-year warranty on the Par-36 series lights.
